With its Digital Agenda, the City of Leipzig is pursuing a strategic and coordinated digitalisation of its administration. The implementation of this agenda is decentralised to the individual departments, offices and units, which develop and implement their own digitalisation projects independently. In order to promote synergies between the departments and ensure a uniform approach, department-specific digitalisation concepts have been created. These concepts enable the departments to set their own digitalisation priorities and develop their projects in a targeted manner.
The Digital City department is supporting this process with a structured approach. To this end, external workshop facilitation services were commissioned in order to efficiently design and document the development of the digitalisation concepts.

bgh. Gauly & Volgmann GbR supported the Digital City Department of the City of Leipzig with the following services:
- Preparation of the workshops: Creation of a methodological concept, development of a miro board for digital documentation and preparation of a status quo survey on existing digitisation projects.
- Moderation of the workshops: Implementation and support of two workshop seasons with a total of 12 workshops and regular coordination meetings.
- Documentation of the results: Ensuring complete and visual documentation on miro to ensure smooth derivation and creation of the digitisation concepts.
These measures will promote sustainable and structured digitalisation within the City of Leipzig. The standardised digitalisation concepts create a transparent basis for the operational implementation of the Digital Agenda in the departments. In the process to date, digitalisation concepts have been developed for Leipzig’s departments IV – Culture, V – Social Affairs, Health and Diversity, VI – Urban Development and Construction and VIII – Economy, Labour and Digital Affairs.
