bgh. advised the Romanian Ministry of Regional Development on topics related to the national urban development policy. In this context, bgh. organized workshops in Bucharest together with local stakeholders and organized a study trip for Romanian experts on integrated urban development in Germany.
Furthermore, bgh. promoted inter-municipal exchange of expertise at national and international level. In addition to a conference for Romanian cities in Timişoara, the exchange was enhanced on an international level between representatives of the Timişoara Municipality and the Lviv City Council of Ukraine.
Furthermore, previous experiences of the funding programme “Cautious Renewal and Economic Revitalization of Timişoara / Romania’s Historic Districts” were reflected and recommendations for the introduction of a funding programme by KfW were made.
